Good news week…. |
Last Thursday 18th April Jamie Dean got his season off to a great start by taking part in and winning the South Wales Boys Spring Medal tournament at Ashburnham Golf Club shooting a level par gross 72, nett 69. What a fantastic achievement, well done Jamie! |

Then on Monday 22nd April more good news….Jamie and Tom Williams representing CGC played Milford Haven in the first round of the Victory Shield at Tenby Golf Club and although it was a tough match our team won on the 18th hole and go through to the second round. |

Beautiful warm spring day and the course was looking great and playing long, fantastic conditions. Captain Rodri Davies had taken his kilt and sporran off and was back in charge and although the team got off to an unconvincing start they secured their second win of the season 5½-2½. |

Monthly Medal Competition Eligibility….. |
The first monthly Medal, the Blenheim Cup, will take place this Saturday and the Golf Team would like to take this opportunity of encouraging all men members regardless of handicap to enter the competition. Notwithstanding that the maximum handicap allowed is 28 it is emphasized that nobody is excluded and all male members are welcome. |

Ping Welsh Junior Tour Event Volunteers…..a big thank you |
On Sunday 28th April 2019 CGC are privileged to be hosting a Ping Welsh Junior Tour Event and the Golf Team would like to apologise to members that to accommodate this event the course will be closed from 08:00 till 17:00 hours. The Golf Team would also like to take this opportunity to thank those members who have volunteered to help out on the day as course marshals and as ball spotters, your help and support is greatly appreciated. |
