Juniors Section Taster Day 2 – Saturday 1st June

Last Saturday our junior section hosted the second junior taster day and another eleven young golfers attended taking the total for the four taster sessions held at the club last week to thirty-five. The Golf Team are extremely pleased to report that six of the young golfers who attended have now joined the club which is obviously great news.
The Golf Team would like to extend a special a warm thank you to junior section organiser Brett Walker and his team of helpers for their hard work of organising these events and for giving up their time freely for the benefit of our young golfers and our golf club. Saturday’s helper team consisted of George & Sybil Laidlaw, Colin Lewis & Huw Bryer not forgetting the excellent tuition provided by our PGA Professional Clive Coombs.
On a separate note the Golf Team would like to remind our young golfers that Captain’s Day for Juniors will be held on Saturday 8th June from 3pm. Everyone is welcome to enter…any ability, it is free as long as they are members. Please text junior organiser Brett Walker by midnight Thursday to enter. |

| Saturday - Ladies vs Garnant |
|
On Sunday 2nd June our ladies travelled to Garnant Park for their second Carmarthenshire & Pembrokeshire Ladies County Golf Association league match of the season. The weather was dreadful for the first nine holes but thankfully the conditions did improve for the back nine.
A special thank you from team Captain Sue Convery to everyone for enduring the elements and bringing home a fantastic 4-1 away win. |

| Bronwydd Cricket Club Golf Day…correction |
| The Golf Team would like to apologise for a typographical error made in last week’s newsletter. Bronwydd CC’s golf day held on Friday 24th May was the fifteenth year running that the event had been held in Carmarthen. Once again apologies for the error. |
