Dear Member

Captains Charity Bunker
This season it has been decided to retain the bunker to the right of the seventh green and the chosen charity this year is Wales Air Ambulance.  Please don’t forget to contribute 50p for every shot taken and place your coins in the bottle on the bar.  Please keep the contributions coming for this very good cause and if you have forgotten to contribute, belated payments are very acceptable.

Ball Marker Lost & Found
Our greenkeeper John Dayman has informed us that he has found a ball marker alongside the path from the 5th tee and as it is unusual, quite old and well used it may mean something to the person who lost it.  Hopefully this can be returned to its owner, please make contact.

Out on the course….
On Monday it was a hive of activity with the greenstaff hollow tinning, topdressing and ironing of the greens before rain that was forecast for Tuesday.  Andrew and the team would like to thank members for their patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused to the seniors for interrupting their planned qualifier but everyone understood that good quality greens in the summer months must take precedence.
Summer is around the corner!!  Members are politely reminded to take care of the course to  maintain it's high standard.  Please ensure that:
  • divots are replaced and repaired,
  • pitch markers on greens are repaired and
  • bunkers are properly raked and the rakes are placed flat inside the bunkers to avoid golf balls being inadvertently trapped under the lip of bunkers
