Dear Member

Our thoughts are with Mr Captain Peter Jones & Family

It is with great sadness that the club was made aware last weekend of the news that Peter’s mother had passed away peacefully at Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen after a period of illness.  The funeral will be held at Llanelli Crematorium on Tuesday 12th February at 11 o'clock.
During this difficult period for Peter, Karen, Elin and their family the club wishes to pass on our sympathy and condolences and for them to be aware that our thoughts are with them in their grief and sorrow.

Gary Evans….it’s farewell with a big, big thank you and not goodbye

After three plus years at the helm of the Trading Company Gary Evans officially stood down as chairman and director on 31st January.  Gary stands aside after having helped steer the club through its most challenging and very difficult period when his managerial skills and professionalism were invaluable to the club during the transition process.  The Club is truly indebted to Gary for his hard work, effort and commitment and for his steadying influence that without doubt will be missed.  The members wish Gary a very happy retirement.

Sport Wales Juniors Funding

On the back of our junior’s recent success in Portugal junior organiser Brett Walker last week received the great news that a Sport Wales funding application had been successful.  The ‘New Beginning Project’ has secured £1,338.00 funding for 2x ASQ coaching courses, 8x half sets of junior clubs, 3x safeguarding courses and a free batch of intro lessons.

This funding will enable Brett and an assistant to undergo formal golf tuition in order to improve their standard of coaching to deliver the help and support in attracting our next group of young golfers.

The vision and objective is to provide the opportunity to develop and establish the skills of talented young golfers and build on the Club's recent success.  Congratulations to Brett for his hard work with this project.
