Junior Team Golf Home Nations Inter-Club Championship Final Update on the Juniors…

Home course practice

Range practice

Rules tutorial

Bags & clubs packed

Passport Remembered

With no stone left unturned in their quest to become the home nations Junior Team Champions preparations were finalised the team and organisers travelled to Morgado Golf Resort, Algarve, Portugal early on Tuesday and arrived safely.

Prior to leaving and as part of their preparations Jeff Harries held a Rule School in Carmarthen to ensure that the team were completely clear on the new rules and the junior organisers would like to thank Jeff for giving up his time.

This morning (Wednesday) the team were up and out early getting to know the Alamos course in 30 mph winds!!  They have reported back that the course is in great condition with extremely tough greens.  All juniors played very well giving the organiser a headache with team selection for Friday.  With the first practice round done and dusted a lesson learnt is that course markers are in metres and not yards!!  Practice round tomorrow (Thursday) morning on the Morgado course.   As a junior golfer what more could you ask for…..playing golf on the Algarve representing your club and country…wow what an honour!!  Living the dream does not do it justice.  Take it all in and enjoy it team, you will be telling the story for many years to come and Good Luck.   Members please don’t forget to keep in touch with the teams progress by using the Junior Team Golf competition website and competition Twitter page that contains lots of information and will be a useful informative source during the competition.  Follow the links below:   www.juniorteamgolf.co.uk @juniorteamgolf
