I'm going to start this weeks email by congratulating the 1st Team on qualifying for the Welsh Team Championships after beating both Haverfordwest and St Giles. Carmarthen are to face Ashburnham in Neath on 10th August in the first round, good luck boys!
Congratulations to Mervyn Lewis who won the nearest the pin in the Cottrell Park Seniors Open by carding a hole in one!
Thursday - Ladies Open Day results to follow
Carmarthen A beat Raglan Parc A 3-0 @ Pontardawe in the South Wales Senior Classic Quarter Final.
In the Summer League, John Dive won the best nett with a 71 and Paul Davies won the best gross with a 79.
Friday - Old Llandovarians enjoyed their day.
In the Knights - Brenys Memorial Cup, Huw Rees won with 43 points
Saturday - New Minerton Golf Society really enjoyed their day and the weather as they were rained off last year! One of their members James Williams has appeared on x-factor a few years ago and got through to the judges houses, he is a pretty good golfer too having held a handicap of +4.5!!
- Ladies Stableford Cup & MacMillan Appeal was won by Megan Thomas with 41 points
- RACs Golf Society from Moriston also enjoyed their day and thought the course was great.
- Tigers got back to winning ways with a 7-1 win over Aberystwyth
Sunday - David Cup 4BBB was postponed till the 25th August due to lack of entries
- Knights drew 4-4 with South Pembs at Home.
Tuesday - Lady Captain's Day; Division 1 was won by Jane Lindquist with 42 points, Division 2 was won by Delyth Rees with 39 points & Divisin 3 was won by Louise Davies with 46 points. Congratulations Tracy on a fantastic day.
Thursday - Seniors v Tenby at Home 11-1230. Summer League 5.00-5.30
Friday - Knights Eric Thomas Memorial Cup 3-6pm

Saturday - Tigers v Glynhir (Away). 8-10.20am & 1.30-2.30pm Ashley Jones Cup 4BBB Medal. 10.30-11am Ladies Molly Evans Salver

Tuesday - Ladies Medal 7 & Molly Evans Salver 11am-1pm
The members were out on the course today helping the place look even better, I managed to get an action shot of a couple of them, unfortunately Mick Fenney was far too busy painting to have his picture taken, well done gents!
