Dear Member

NYE Party Revellers…..
Out with the old and in with the new…congratulations to Entertainments Group event organisers Sheila Neate and Olive Corner for arranging a successful New Year's Party.  Clearly a good night was had by all!!

The club would like to wish all of our members and their families a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year and may the golfing gods be good in 2019.

Recognition for Jamie….
The club is extremely proud to have received news that Jamie Dean has been shortlisted to the final three of 2019 young sports personality of the year sponsored by Actif Carmarthenshire Sports Awards.

The annual Actif Carmarthenshire Sports Awards is one of the most prestigious evenings in Carmarthenshire’s sporting calendar.  Now in its 20th year the event recognises the sporting achievements of athletes, coaches and volunteers across Carmarthenshire.  Thirty three of the county’s best are up for 12 awards that will be announced at the evening ceremony to be held on Friday 8th February at The Ffwrnes Theatre, Park Street, Llanelli.

Prior to this date Actif will be making a short film to capture Jamie in action in January.  Dates and venues are yet to be confirmed but it is hoped that Jamie’s coach from Wrexham will come to Carmarthen to have the video made in his local surroundings.    What an honour it is for Jamie and his family and indeed for the club to have another of our young players receive recognition.  Everyone at the club will be rooting for you Jamie, all the very best of luck with this award.
