112th Club AGM Reminder ….  
Members are again reminded the Club AGM is scheduled to take place tomorrow Thursday 14th March 2019 at 7pm.

Thursday - Seniors 3, 4, 5:
Impressively 60 brave souls took to the course in 45 mph winds 6C temperatures that felt like 2C due to the chill factor.    Despite the poor weather conditions some very good scores were returned the results were:

Sunday - Winter League 8:
Again very windy conditions gusting at 50 mph, the course was playing long and difficult with three temporary greens in play on the 13th, 15th and 18th.  26 entries and given the severe conditions some very good scores were again recorded.  The results and winners of sweep are as follows:

2018-19 Winter League Prize Winners…

M&H Committee would like to congratulate this year’s prize winners, very well done.  Also a big thank you to all of the members who entered and took part in the year’s tournament.    With the mild winter weather the competitions were played largely on the main greens and the new temporary tees made the competition much more interesting.  Thank you to the greenstaff team for their efforts throughout the winter period.

The blustery weather continued but did not deter 26 hardy souls from braving the conditions, a fantastic turnout.  With the cold drying winds the greenstaff were able to present the course with all 18 greens in play.  The results were:

Tuesday - Ladies Playing-in-the Captain: 
Regrettably the very wet weather put paid to the Captain Drive-In which has been postponed till next Tuesday.  Lots of tea/coffee was consumed by the ladies section whist the 100 club draw was being made and Lady Captain Brenda Richards was presented with a bouquet of flowers with best wishes and good luck for the coming season.

Ladies Captain On Tour….
Are they auditioning for extras in the Lawrence of Arabia sequel?   No....this is Lady Captain Brenda Richards and Olive Corner on holiday in Abu Dhabi, the word "Priceless" was used by Edna Morris who provided the picture…..I suspect there will be plenty of leg pulling after this picture is circulated!!

Driving-In-The-Captains – Golf Day Saturday 23rd March 2019
Members are reminded that places are still available for this event that formerly kicks-off and celebrates the start of the new season with all of our Section Captains. 
There will be prizes for all fives sections and everyone is welcome so please come and support your section Captains and enter this fun event.
 
   
Driving in the Captains – Evening Event
Members who have reserved places and have not yet paid are politely requested to settle up with Martin or Sandy by the end of this week so that final numbers can be determined.    Thank you in anticipation for your cooperation in this regard.  
   
Juniors Section Fresh Start Project Update….
With the new golf season around the corner Junior Organiser, Brett Walker and his team of helpers held their first junior and parents meeting at the club yesterday evening and was pleased to inform those who attended of exciting plans for the coming year. 
   
Knights Away Day Rearranged …
As previously advised due inclement weather the pre-season away day to Machynys Golf Club was postponed. 
To clarify the event has now been rearranged to take place on Saturday 13th July. 
Due to new mid-season date the package will carry an additional £10 charge and the first tee-time will be 12:50 hours.  Four tee times have been booked, please make contact with Brett Walker if you would like to be included.
